Oracle Body with

Diana De Piñeres

Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher & Ayurvedic Health Practitioner

My name is Diana Lucia De Piñeres, and I’ve been sharing yoga teachings since 2003 & Ayurvedic living since 2008. I first trained under the tutelage of Advaita Vedanta and Vinyasa teacher Sri Louise, then began I studying the transformative teachings of Iyengar Yoga [with Kay Huckabee] in 2015. Since 2017 I have been studying with Senior Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, Holly Kostura. I am a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher dedicated to the study and teachings of BKS Iyengar, and I am an Ayurvedic pratitioner graduate of Mount Madonna College of Ayurveda (2008), with an emphasis on herbology, diet and lifestyle practice for greater well-being.

The sister sciences of Yoga and Ayurveda, have been essential to my growth and evolution as a woman and mother. Ayurveda has helped me to make sense of the world and how to bring the body into balance. With Iyengar Yoga I have healed from 15 years of chronic back pain, and I have regained agency in an androcentric world that hasn’t always been supportive or nurturing. BKS Iyengar teaches that yoga is universally accessible.

An oracle body is one able to recognize and invoke the intuitive and spiritual wisdom within. Humanity at large has experienced a severance from nature which has created physical and mental harm en masse. Women’s bodies have carried the burden of this division in tangible ways- digestive issues, inflammation, overwhelm, depression, anxiety; irregularity and pain with menstrual cycles, perimenopause, and menopause. I believe many of these things stem from the lack of recognition, honoring, celebration of our nature in the form of daily cycles, monthly cycles, yearly cycles and life cycles. Practices that honor these cycles with cleansing, movement, diet and lifestyle choices that are antidotal and supportive through the seasons of the life we are presently living through. It has become normalized that the body and mind have no choice but to hold the weight of the world; this is too much for one body-mind-sensory complex to bear. The body and mind are not meant to carry the world, they are meant to commune with nature. Nature brings balance and she provides us with our oracle body. This body, your body, holds and communicates all the antidotes, rituals, medicines, and wisdom you need to bring balance into your life.

Union of the singular self with the Absolute Self is the very definition and goal of yoga. The practices of yoga can condition your body and mind while ayurveda supports the health of the body, both necessary to achieve the ultimate yoga quest. The science, art and philosophy of Yoga and Ayurveda are tools for creating the balanced conditions of body and mind to recover a holistic sense of self. On the yogic path the mind becomes clear so we can then listen clearly as the body will communicate your truth. Along the path you will gain insight on the best foods, exercises, breathing practices, medicines, environments, etc., to bring you into balance. You will learn to turn deeply within so that your intuition, the oracle within the body, will guide you, and you will trust it.

Yoga and Ayurveda promote a universal sense of Self, and can transform all facets of your being. My role is to set you on course, to create a practice container, to refine an existing practice, and to invoke your resolve, and ability to learn deep trust in your oracle body. The ancient wisdom teachings of Iyengar Yoga and supportive practices of Ayurveda will guide you on the road to integration of the body-mind-sensory complex with Nature. You are precious, and you are full of potential. Your return to center awaits you.
